Typical roll on/dimple connectors rely on o-rings to internally seal coiled tubing pump fluid during working pressures.  The o-ring is extremely dependent on coil tubing wall thickness and seal bore preparation.


Improper make up or a connector with the wrong wall thickness can often lead to a failed pressure test which will require to make a new connection resulting in loss time in the well.
